SUNDAY SCHOOL DAY
Is proposed to celebrate the last Sunday before the school opens after annual summer vacation for the next academic year, according to the pattern shown below. This is also called children’s service. Guidelines: It can be in a Sunday or Saturday before the school opens.
- At 10 AM: 3 songs are sung by three group of students of different grades.
- Group I consists of beginner and primary grade standing in front.
- Group II consists of boys of junior, intermediate and senior. iii) Group III consists of girls of the above.
- 10.20 - 10.30: Following this - two teachers, one female and one male, pray for children’s goodness, wisdom, health, safety, spiritual growth (Luke 2:52) and for their generous giving habit for gospel work.
- 10.40 - 10.50: A senior class student reads Psalm (1 or 23) and can give brief explanation.
- 10.50 - 11.00: Then students of Beginner, Primary stand in rows say memory verse one by one and sits.
- 11.00 - 11.15: After that, students of Junior, intermediate and senior will say testimony.
- 11.15 - 11.40: Then the teachers of Beginner, Primary, Junior, intermediate give exhortation.
- 11.40 - 11.50: An able student of senior class and speak the word of God.
- 11.50 - 12.20: Finally the pastor/teacher of the senior class gives a short message highlighting the importance of Sunday school and their role in the school and home. He ends the program with a short prayer.
- 12.20 - 12.30: H.M. describes the importance of offering. When the intermediate class students sing, the senior class students will collect/watch taking offering. It can be sent to the district Sunday school committee.
- 12.30: The program ends with prayer by pastor.
Snacks must be served for all soon after.
